The 32-year-old maid was in a unit in Bai Ni Village. After giving birth to a baby, she was unconscious on the bed and the baby beside the maid died on the spot. After the ambulance crew arrived, the maid was sent to Tianshuiwei Hospital for rescue. She then recovered and the maid was transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital where she might need surgery to remove the placenta. Police officers were present to investigate the case. According to on-site news, the maid said earlier that she wanted to take a holiday today. The employer went into the room to check the status of the maid. He saw the room was covered with blood and there was a baby on the bed, so he called the police.
