He can be seen on stage with two of his competitors - Mats and Alyia - with whom he sometimes sings in two and three voices. That naturally requires practice, says Phil. And that was under the guidance of his coach and singer Max Giesinger, whom Phil had decided on at the end of the last show.

First report from Friday, February 28, 2020, 9:44 a.m .: There is no sign of initial shyness in conversation with Phil Schaller from Unshausen. The 13-year-old likes to sing for his life, he is used to the stage. Would you like a taste of his voice? No problem for Phil. From the mouth of the blond boy with the blue eyes suddenly comes a voice that gives goosebumps.
"I don't really know stage fright," he says. Only at one gig, he admits that his heart was already pounding: on Sunday from 8:15 p.m. his gig will be broadcast on the Sat1 casting show "The Voice Kids" .

Almost three million people will watch the show "The Voice Kids" - a big difference from the approximately 300 listeners Phil is used to in his previous performances. The 13-year-old must not reveal whether he will progress. One thing has been clear for the young Unhaus for years: "I don't want to live without music anymore."
It all started about ten years ago in the Falkenberg children's choir, in which Phil continues to sing the soprano voice. The love of singing plays a big role in his family anyway. His parents, his little sister and his big brother also have a great voice.

Phil had one of his first appearances in his father Martin's bistro. It continued with performances on birthdays. The Unshäuser climbed the first rung of the career ladder some time ago in Kassel. The family came across the Ufa Talentbase by chance, an online casting portal that was looking for talent in Kassel.
Phil was successful. He has already been on stage in many cities in Germany. "Music producers like Ralph Siegel and Peter Hoffmann have even become aware of Phil," says Martin Schaller. Siegel is said to have said: "Phil's singing goes into the left ear, joy comes from the right ear." And now he is part of "The Voice Kids" *.
The Voice Kids is his chance: For Phil one thing is certain - he wants to be a singer
His parents are proud of their young talent. Nevertheless, they are aware that they have to protect their son. "It has to grow slowly," says his father. It is not yet possible to say what Phil's professional future will look like.
The 13-year-old shrugs his shoulders. For him it is clear: he wants to be a singer . That is why he regularly takes singing lessons and spends a lot of time in his "instrument store".

Whether ukulele, guitar, piano or just the microphone - Phil seems to have music in his blood. In order to create the right atmosphere, he even installed a few headlights. He is also interested in everything related to technology and craftsmanship.
He is therefore happy to tinker with his friend Kai at a small hut in Unshausen or help mow the lawn in the garden. Then he is not the young singer on the big stage of "The Voice Kids". * Then he is just a boy from the small Unshausen who likes to rave and is out with friends.
