Former US Vice President and potential candidate for the upcoming Democratic presidential election, Joe Biden, has renewed his criticism of US President Donald Trump's handling and slow response to the Corona virus outbreak in the United States.
"Trump is moving very slowly ... although the virus is not its fault, the response is its responsibility," Biden said in an interview with the American ABC station today.
Biden confirmed yesterday that Trump is the worst US president in dealing with health crises, in reference to the emerging Corona virus crisis that has turned into a global pandemic.
On the other hand, Biden indicated that the Democratic Party "may be forced to hold a virtual conference to choose the presidential candidate next August" due to concerns related to the emerging Corona virus.
It is noteworthy that the Democratic Party already postponed last week the conference from July to August, pointing to fears of the spread of the virus.
The Johns Hopkins University announced yesterday that the United States recorded about 1,200 additional deaths from the virus within 24 hours in the worst daily toll recorded in any country.
