According to Sky News, the evacuation to the hospital was taken as a precautionary measure and not as an emergency, due to the non-disappearing symptoms that include fever and cough. It is not known whether he will remain hospitalized for the night or be released after the tests.

Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom yesterday, Johnson's fiancee, Carrie Simmonds, who is in advanced pregnancy and who is staying with the British Prime Minister in solitary confinement, has also begun to develop corona symptoms, but after a week of rest she feels relieved. In a post, Simonds said, "I spent the last week in bed with the major symptoms of the corona virus. I was glad they went and I didn't need to be tested. After seven days of rest, I feel better."

Simmonds added: "I was very stressed to experience the symptoms of the virus because of the pregnancy" and that she understood the importance of adhering to the guidelines. In the UK, pregnant women have been admitted to a virus risk group in mid-March.
