The approximately 30,000 young volunteers of 16 years engaged to carry out an SNU initially had to begin their service with a collective stay of " cohesion ", from June 22 to July 3, outside their department of residence, then to carry out a mission of general interest in from the next school year.

“ It is clear that our country this year may need more commitment than ever, so it would be incomprehensible that there is no Universal National Service this year. However, obviously, we are adapting it, ”said Mr. Attal.
