Coronavirus: the Tour de France with the public ... but in August?

2020-04-05T07:30:29.270Z

The organizers of the Tour de France were working on a staggered race in August, if the sanitary conditions allow it.

Will leave, will not leave ... The Tour de France is still officially scheduled from June 27 to July 19, but the shadow of the coronavirus could turn everything upside down. Suddenly, the organizers are thinking about different options. For a while, the prospect of a closed Tour de France no longer seems to hold the rope. According to Le Parisien , the Grande Boucle could take place from July 25 to August 16 and therefore be delayed by one month. If the sanitary conditions allow it of course. In turn, it will also shift the Tour of Spain, scheduled from August 14 to September 6. A decision should be made once the containment has been extended by the government within 10 days.
