In “Assisted Living at the Market Square” there is the first Corona case in one of the five houses. One resident (82) is infected with the virus. The facility management has now closed all houses.

Indersdorf - It has been known since Friday evening that a resident (82) of the “Assisted Living at the Market Place” in Indersdorf has been infected with the corona virus. The good news: "The woman is really very well, she is doing well," says facility manager Gertraud Eschenbecher-Schuster. The resident was tested because she showed mild symptoms such as fever.

The bad news: A second resident, 85 years old, who lives in the same house on the same floor, was taken to the hospital by the ambulance service on Saturday morning.

According to the ashtray cobbler, the woman is "unfortunately very bad". The 85-year-old showed “very strong symptoms. High fever, extreme shortness of breath, strong cough ”. As of yesterday, it is not yet clear whether this resident is also infected with the virus. The affected house, one of a total of five belonging to the “assisted living at the market place”, is now in quarantine for 14 days, according to the facility management. The nursing service continues to take care of the residents, does the shopping, brings food and more, according to Eschenbecher-Schuster.

The facility manager is upset. Sauer because of "unreasonable relatives, which I unfortunately had to experience again and again - especially in this house." Since the restrictions due to the corona situation came into force, "we have immediately passed all regulations on to residents and relatives. We have communicated these new rules again and again, ”says Eschenbecher-Schuster. Unfortunately, however, some relatives “came to visit again and again, sometimes with children. It is irresponsible! After all, this is about human life ”. The houses were not officially closed until then. Eschenbecher-Schuster explains: "We thought it worked that way too."

Other relatives would also behave "totally great and exemplary, just make purchases in front of the door or on the balcony." She emphasizes: "The same rules apply to us as to nursing homes or old people's homes!" Now she has pulled the "emergency brake." . All houses are now closed. We have exercised our house right here. "Even if she" never wanted to take this step. If some of them fail to do so again, we will file a complaint. It's just a matter of life and death. ”Nursing staff, equipped with protective clothing, and doctors would of course continue to take care of the residents. There is a 24 hour emergency call. "The nursing staff does an excellent job in this difficult time," she says.

According to the Eschenbecher-Schuster, only those who had direct contact with the sick or those with symptoms would be tested.
