Italy today recorded a decrease in the number of deaths from the emerging corona virus, as it reported 525 cases in the past 24 hours, compared to larger numbers recorded in previous days.
The Director of the Italian Civil Protection Bureau, Angelo Borelli, said in a press statement carried by Italian media that the number of people who died in Italy due to Corona during the past 24 hours reached 525, bringing the total deaths to 15887.
This is the lowest death toll over the past two weeks.
Borelli stated that the total number of infections recorded in Corona in the country increased by 4316 cases and reached 128,948.
And the recent figures for the number of daily highs of those infected with Corona virus in Italy indicate a relative stability at this rate, as recorded in the country over the past days, rises not exceeding 4805 cases.
Italy is the first country in the world in terms of the number of deaths from the emerging corona virus and the third in terms of the number of cases of the disease.
