The patrols of the Directorate of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia organized 645 seizures during its tours in the governorate markets, during which 51 violating stores were closed.
The head of the Consumer Protection Department in the Directorate, Wissam Hassan, stated that the seizure included not announcing prices, not having purchase and sale bills at an excessive price, lack of a specification card, and charging for an increase in service fees, in addition to fraud and manipulation of specifications, noting that it also included 44 controls in the field of ovens work and 14 controls In the field of hydrocarbons, offering and selling expired materials, in addition to controlling meat.
Hassan confirmed that 51 stores were closed due to multiple violations and 50 written complaints and 262 phone complaints were handled.
