Freiburg - The pop and folk music band Feldberger mourns the loss of one of its members. Chris Laubis died on Thursday , as the group confirmed on their Facebook page.

Accordingly, the 49-year-old died "after a serious accident at work" . Schlager star dies after an accident in forest work

According to the picture , the work accident that led to the death of the musician occurred during forest work, and that already last Tuesday. Laubis wanted to cut a tree in Höllental in the Black Forest. The tribe hit the musician on the leg and injured him so severely that the rescue helicopter had to be flown to the university clinic in Freiburg. On Thursday morning, Laubis then succumbed to his serious injuries.

Chris Laubis played the Styrian harmonica with the Feldbergers and also sang. Together with Vogt and Böhler, he was one of the founding members of the Schlager band, which had existed since 1987. The band was founded when Laubis was just 16 years old and quickly celebrated initial successes in southern Germany.

The Feldberger made the breakthrough thanks to a performance in Dieter Thomas Heck's “Schlagerparade” on ARD. Here they ended up in first place with the song “Music makes hearts come alive” and were often seen on TV programs afterwards. Another milestone in the band's history dates from 2009: In the “ZDF Fernsehgarten”, the Feldbergers performed one song in each episode throughout the season.

The famous Schlager singer Jörg Laasen had died only a few days ago. In addition, several stars have already been infected with the novel corona virus, as reported by tz.de *.

On the other hand, there is positive news from pop singer Michael Wendler: he and girlfriend Laura Müller will get married - and of course on TV.
