Service institutions in the governorates continue to take the necessary measures to tackle the Corona virus by carrying out hygiene and sterilization campaigns, forming neighborhood committees, and distributing food supplies and food baskets.

In the Damascus countryside governorate, the local council in the Harasta suburb implemented a massive sterilization and cleaning campaign in cooperation with the local community, which included streets, cars, and shops. In the village of Al-Marah, the local council implemented, in cooperation with the Society for the Revival of the Levant and the people, a sterilization campaign that included public facilities, streets, and homes to keep the village clean.

The local council in Adra, a working suburb, in cooperation with the Nour Association, carried out a clean-up and sterilization campaign for the streets, neighborhoods and public facilities in the suburb to maintain public health and prevent diseases, especially the Corona epidemic.

The town of Hafir Al-Tahta carried out a campaign in coordination with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, the agricultural society, economic activities and the people to clean the workshops of some streets and shops. Engineer Zakaria Fahd, head of the Salamiya City Council, explained to the SANA reporter that the neighborhoods were divided into sectors and that the committees receive the ration materials from the Syrian establishment and distribute them in each sector according to the role, calling on the citizens to commit to their homes and not go out except for the extreme necessity.

In Lattakia, Lattakia City Council launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign today in Al-Montazah neighborhood in the city, which included sweeping, collecting and deporting garbage from streets, open containers, sweeping, sterilizing containers, street spraying, and shops with sterile materials.

The Director of Hygiene Eng. Ahmed Fadda pointed out that the Directorate intensified its work within the city, especially during the curfew periods, to take advantage of the empty streets of pedestrians to complete the work and raise the level of hygiene in all neighborhoods.
