Service institutions in the governorates continue to take the necessary measures to tackle the Corona virus by carrying out hygiene and sterilization campaigns, forming neighborhood committees, and distributing food supplies and food baskets.
The local council in Adra, a working suburb, in cooperation with the Nour Association, carried out a clean-up and sterilization campaign for the streets, neighborhoods and public facilities in the suburb to maintain public health and prevent diseases, especially the Corona epidemic.
In Hama, a peaceful city council formed subcommittees in each of the city’s neighborhoods, whose mission is to supervise all neighborhood services and distribute food supplies under the electronic card from the Syrian Foundation for Trade to Citizens to prevent crowds and gatherings within the framework of procedures to address the Corona virus.
Engineer Zakaria Fahd, head of the Salamiya City Council, explained to the SANA reporter that the neighborhoods were divided into sectors and that the committees receive the ration materials from the Syrian establishment and distribute them in each sector according to the role, calling on the citizens to commit to their homes and not go out except for the extreme necessity.
In the town of Kfraa, and on the initiative of several civil activities in the town, a number of food baskets were distributed, which included various food items that the family needs to several poor families, and bread was distributed free of charge to homes for three days in the town to urge families not to leave their homes.
In the endosperm governorate, the Suwayda poultry facility developed a plan to run mobile cars loaded with eggs daily for sale to citizens within the neighborhoods, at a price of 2000 pounds per dish.
And in a statement to SANA reporter, the General Manager of the facility, Dr. Talaat Nimer, pointed out that the aim of this procedure is to provide the material from domesticated to the consumer directly at the cost of price without the intervention of any mediator and contribute to reducing its market price and preventing its monopoly, indicating that the quantities supplied to cars are related to the available material from the facility that Secures the needs of the public and health sectors.
In Homs Governorate, the Education Directorate has finished sterilizing all 14788 schools, departments, and educational complexes in the governorate of Rifa City, and an educational complex under the supervision of school health cadres, in cooperation and coordination with administrative units, as part of precautionary measures to address the emerging corona virus.
In Lattakia, Lattakia City Council launched a comprehensive cleaning campaign today in Al-Montazah neighborhood in the city, which included sweeping, collecting and deporting garbage from streets, open containers, sweeping, sterilizing containers, street spraying, and shops with sterile materials.
The Director of Hygiene Eng. Ahmed Fadda pointed out that the Directorate intensified its work within the city, especially during the curfew periods, to take advantage of the empty streets of pedestrians to complete the work and raise the level of hygiene in all neighborhoods.
