Within the continuous monitoring of developments in the regional and international epidemic of Corona and taking all necessary measures to address it, the Cabinet informed the process of the implementation plan of the ministries and the measures taken at the level of governorates and regions.
During its weekly session today, headed by Eng. Imad Khamis, Prime Minister, the Council listened to a presentation made by Minister of Health Dr. Nizar Yazji about the readiness of stone and isolation places in the governorates and decided to form central and sub-working groups of governors and health and tourism directors to assess the stone places submitted by ministries and unions and determine the mechanism of benefit The optimal ones are delivered to the Ministry of Health for approval, and it was emphasized that there is one reference for the ministries' plan in the Ministry of Health administration regarding quarantine and isolation places and securing their requirements and their suitability for health care.
The Council approved the therapeutic protocol for Corona virus in public, private and military hospitals, which the technical advisory team had worked on since the early days of the virus's appearance in order to organize work and deal with proven cases.
The Cabinet agreed to pay a monthly financial reward to health workers working directly in addressing the Corona epidemic in the ministries of health, higher education and defense, in appreciation of their efforts during this phase in raising the health sector's readiness to cope with the epidemic.
The Council expressed its support for all initiatives of the private sector in the field of tackling the virus, especially starting with the manufacture of oxygen competitors with national experiences, and a working group has been formed from the ministries of defense, health, higher education, industry and the Atomic Energy Research Center to provide the necessary technical support for these initiatives and optimally invest them.
In another matter, the Council approved the "National Plan for Emergency Social Response" with the aim of mobilizing all the efforts of the official authorities concerned, the civil and local community to support the groups in need and the most needy (the elderly and people with disabilities), affected daily workers and self-employed workers whose work was interrupted as a result of precautionary measures through (the unemployment grant) After exploring all the necessary data to intervene in coordination with the federations of the concerned chambers and the Federation of Trade Unions.
The Ministry of Social Affairs was mandated to set the criteria for selecting the target entities in each sector, and it was decided to create a bank account for the Ministry of Social Affairs to attract financial contributions and allocate them to support efforts to reduce the burdens on workers.
With regard to the rationing reality, the Council assured the citizens of the presence of large quantities of basic supplies that are sufficient for several months in addition to the continued intensification of supplies of these materials through many contracts in progress, and the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection was approved to deliver the allocations of subsidized materials to citizens via the electronic services card in one payment For two months starting from next month, which will contribute to alleviate congestion in the Syrian galleries for trade.
The Council mandated the ministries of oil, internal trade, local administration, and the environment to set the executive mechanism that guaranteed good quality bread access to citizens and the Council asked the Ministry of Internal Trade to form a technical committee to research the reasons for the recent low quality of bread and set controls for ovens to adhere to the approved quality standards.
The Council stressed to the ministers and governors the importance of assuming responsibility when granting (work assignments) for roaming during the embargo period in a manner that guarantees the continuation of the health sector and the service and production institutions and humanitarian emergencies.
The Council allowed PhD holders at the Ministry of Higher Education to apply for competitions on the condition that they do not fail to serve the science.
