Near Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique), caregivers who work with patients affected by the coronavirus can since Monday come to change and shower in the changing rooms of a gymnasium which have been transformed into a decontamination center by an association. " There is a Covid treatment, we are warned, and that gives us time to make the decontamination products and open the center for the return of, or the professionals, " summarizes Aurélien Noguet, nurse and coordinator in charge of operational within the Relief and medical assistance association.

For ten days, the paramedics, nurses and doctors of the association have already benefited from this center built in Trignac, in the agglomeration of Saint-Nazaire. But as of this week, all city caregivers - liberal nurses, general practitioners, physiotherapists or midwives - will be able to come, because often they do not have showers in their offices.
“ Not all premises are convertible. The idea is to have a different entrance from the exit, a straight line path, "explains Aurélien Noguet regarding the choice of place, made available by the city, and which allows caregivers to change into ten minutes, leaving with their dirty clothes in an airtight bag. There is a separate circuit for men and women, which is decontaminated, using a sprayer, after each visit by a nurse and a student nurse who manage the center.
With this center, the Relief and Medical Assistance association, which usually works during sporting and cultural events in the Loire-Atlantique department and is now mobilized against the Covid-19 epidemic, wants to give caregivers the possibility of " Preserve other patients, their homes, or their loved ones ".
