Mittenwald - A mountain climber from the Augsburg area suffered serious injuries in an accident in the Karwendel on Saturday. "For reasons that have not yet been clarified," reports the police, the 42-year-old Swabian lost his hold at noon (12.10 p.m.) and crashed around 150 meters over rough terrain.
According to reports, the man was said to have been traveling between Mittenwalder Hütte and Höhenweg when the accident happened. Four forces of mountain rescue readiness Mittenwald were deployed. The injured man was brought to the Murnau accident clinic by helicopter. The hospital is said to have found that the Augsburg man should have been in quarantine at home because of suspected corona. The police could not confirm this on Monday.
