France will pay a considerable price in the fight against the coronavirus. By reducing the amount of work produced in the country, the containment of the population reduces national income by the same amount. Economists cite up to 150 billion euros in losses. For the moment, nobody knows either the exact content of the bill, or how it will be paid. The only certainty is that the French State, already over-indebted, will not be able to carry this gigantic burden any more than Spain or Italy.
