The PS and related deputies demanded Monday April 6 the release of an " exceptional bonus " of 1000 to 2000 euros for the agents of the territorial collectivities " implied in the fight against the coronavirus ".

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister and co-signed by the socialist group, the related deputy Régis Juanico (Génération.s) cites in particular the " agents working in public nursing homes ", in crèches, municipal police officers or public cleansing agents . The deputy for the Loire asked for " concrete acts " for the " daily risks taken " and the " sacrifices made in the name of the general interest " by these actors on the ground.

PS and related elected officials would like a bonus of 1000 to 2000 euros on the model of what the government recommends for employees in the private sector mobilized during this crisis.

" In the current state of the legal and regulatory framework ", territorial officials are not entitled to such a bonus, but Régis Juanico argues for the creation of a " specific legal device " allowing it to be paid. And his parliamentary group would like this device "to be extended to all agents of the hospital and state civil service mobilized in the context of the fight against Covid-19 ".
