The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Monday blocked a decree from the Democratic governor that demanded the postponement of elections scheduled for Tuesday, including the Democratic primary pitting Joe Biden against Bernie Sanders, because of fears of contagion from the coronavirus.

Republicans seized the high court on Monday, shortly after the governor's decree was issued. The decision was quickly taken by four magistrates against two, "according to partisan lines" , deplored the president of the democratic party of Wisconsin, Ben Wikler.
