Maintal - The models have just returned from filming the GNTM and there should be some rest before the remaining candidates start preparing for the big live final. Model Mareike Lerch , who now lives in Berlin, but originally comes from Maintal near Frankfurt, wanted to use the time out for a vacation with her fiance. Then the shock came.
Maldives island of Kuredu quarantined for corona virus
The two have to involuntarily extend their vacation: Because of two coronavirus cases , the entire Maldives island of Kuredu was quarantined.
In an interview with Promiflash, Mareike's girlfriend, GNTM candidate Nadine, reveals that visitors to the resort tested positive for the corona virus and that Mareike from Maintal and her fiancee are now in quarantine . The Kuredu Island Resort confirms on Facebook that two guests have so far been tested positive for the corona virus.

The operator of the facility explains on Facebook that other potentially infected people are isolated on the island of Farukolhufushi. Isolation is monitored by the UK Health Protection Agency (HPA) and no other cases of coronavirus infection are known to exist on the island.
In addition, guests who left Kuredu between February 23 and March 6, 2020 are advised to watch out for symptoms of Covid-19 * lung disease, take the necessary precautions and, if necessary, contact local health authorities.

Fortunately, the GNTM candidate and her fiance were not yet affected by symptoms of the lung disease Covid-19 and preferred to stay " near fish rather than people " for safety. A 14-day quarantine is currently planned, but how long the quarantine will actually be maintained is not yet clear.

Rumors has it, that we might have to stay between two to four weeks on this island due to an island quarantine. No one is allowed to enter or leave this place. I know that there is worst places to be under quarantine but it's definitely not something which makes you feel very good. Regarding to some news there is 93 people under further investigation and not allowed to leave their villas, but as said, that might be rumors and exaggeration ...
