Some 50 kilos of cocaine were seized Monday near Saint-Nazaire (Loire-Atlantique) in a container from the Antilles by Nantes customs, announced the prosecutor of the Republic of Rennes.
" As part of the controls which still remain regular despite the confinement period, the Nantes customs services carried out today, within the port of Montoir-de-Bretagne, a seizure of 50 kilos of cocaine. The drugs were hidden in a container from the West Indies, "said Philippe Astruc by email. There was no inquiry.
" In view of the quantity seized and the mode of transport, characteristic of those used by criminal organizations relating to organized crime, the prosecution of Saint-Nazaire divested in favor of the Jirs prosecution of Rennes to continue the investigations which are carried out by the Nantes judicial police , "said the prosecutor.
