Seven civilians were killed in two suicide attacks carried out by Boko Haram terrorists in Amchidi, in the far north of Cameroon.
"Two suicide bombers from the Boko Haram group blew themselves up in the area bordering Nigeria, killing seven people and wounding 14 others," a police officer said, quoting a police officer.
The officer explained that among the victims was a local official and two children.
Cameroon, along with Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso, has witnessed an increase in terrorist operations recently, as the attacks in the Sahel region resulted in the death of 4,000 people in 2019, according to the United Nations.
