City University criminal psychologist Li Dingji analyzes that the gang robbery is inseparable from "money", and the crime is caused by the influence of peers. He described the "sequelae of the pneumonia epidemic" as a problem of the gang. The restaurant closed down during the epidemic, and there were few opportunities for part-time jobs. Even the parents lost their jobs. As a result, the juveniles lost their financial resources, and the problem of juvenile delinquency was caused, but the government did not pay much attention to it. In addition, under the influence of peers, a small group was formed, with a fluke mentality, thinking that "it is easy to walk away" and commit crimes.

Regarding the police's recent emphasis on the advocacy of breaking the law in the past six months of social incidents, leading to a weak sense of law compliance among young people, Li Dingji believes that the social incident itself has a greater impact on the gang than the instability caused by the social incident. Under the epidemic situation, there are few opportunities for part-time jobs, the juveniles lose their legitimate income, and they are prone to earn income and maintain their living standards.
