An earthquake struck two degrees on the Richter scale this afternoon, northwest of the city of Raqqa.
The National Seismological Center said in a statement, which Sana received a copy of: The tremor occurred at 1:15 pm, at a depth of seven kilometers, fifty-nine kilometers northwest of the city of Raqqa.
On the third of this month, a moderate earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale hit the Syrian coast with a depth of twenty kilometers and sixty-five kilometers from the city of Latakia.
