Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was placed in intensive care after contracting the coronavirus, remained stable overnight and remains cheerful.

"The Prime Minister's condition has remained stable between yesterday and today and he remains in a good mood. He receives standard oxygen treatment and breathes without any other assistance. He did not need mechanical breathing assistance or non-invasive breathing assistance , " said his spokesman on Tuesday 7 April.

After more than ten days of high fever and persistent coughs, the British leader was hospitalized on Sunday evening. He was admitted to intensive care on Monday evening.
