Coronavirus: the mayor of Nantes extends his confinement

The mayor of Nantes, Joanna Rolland, announced Tuesday evening that she had decided to extend her confinement period "until further notice, in accordance with the principle of sanitary precaution" . The elected official made this decision "after several days of mild and manifest symptoms" and a medical diagnosis which "confirmed today (Tuesday, note) a strong suspicion of contamination with Covid-19" .

Mrs. Rolland had already been confined to her home since March 23, when her daughter's symptoms appeared which could lead to suspect "contamination by Covid-19" , announced the town hall in a previous press release. The mayor PS "continues to direct the city and the metropolis as it has been doing for two weeks, in permanent contact with its teams, the state and the health authorities" , according to the press release issued on Tuesday.

Joanna Rolland "gathered today (Tuesday, editor's note), as it does twice a week, representatives of the majority and opposition political groups to take stock. In particular, it informed them of its intention to convene a municipal council by videoconference, as the law allows, by the end of April, ” said the press release.
