The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) announced that they will separate their inmates from hospitals, due to insufficient medical material to attend the coronavirus pandemic. The government spokesman, Hugo López-Gatell, said that both institutions have the right to ensure the safety of the students, and reported that a dialogue has already started with UNAM to identify options for this decision.
