After a large number of volunteers had reported and various suppliers brought groceries, the Dachauer Tafel opened in an emergency operation last Saturday.
Seven helpers from the dinner team and eight external people were involved, who helped out.
The food was packed in bags in advance and distributed to customers. These were able to register by phone and came on the board at predetermined times. Around 80 table customers have appeared. This means that a total of 150 people in need of care could be cared for.
Hans Ramsteiner, the leader of the community welfare and social work in the Dachau BRK and deputy district chairman, was very satisfied with the well-organized process. Edda Third Prize, head of the Dachauer Tafel, emphasized: “It was important to us not to let our needy fellow citizens down. Thanks to the great support of the population, we managed to do that. ”
It will be announced how the next issue will be in emergency mode. dn
