The plan to found an energy cooperative for mountain dwellers is facing great success: 37 citizens in mountain dwellers have shown interest in joining such a cooperative. Helmut Babinger, who is known to be the one who pushes the project forward, said in a conversation with our newspaper positive: "I had expected less."

Berglern - Last but not least, it is also exciting what amounts the Berglerner citizens want to get into here: “This ranges from 1000 euros to 20,000 euros. As a rule, the amounts are around 5,000 euros. ”That was also a clear announcement, said the initiator.
He reports in detail on how to proceed. "I have now sent a timetable to all 37, of course Corona does not make it easier," says Babinger. And further: “At the meetings, I also called for people to be appointed for the various positions that we now have to fill, for example on the board of directors and the supervisory board. 17 people have agreed to do this, which I think is great, ”says the initiator, satisfied.
Because no meetings are allowed to take place these days, the preparation of such an election will of course be complicated. "At the moment you have to think a lot more than usual," explains Babinger. The result is a modified statute that Babinger has already coordinated with the cooperative association and whose draft has now also gone to the 37 interested parties.
"We may now have the most modern cooperative statutes at all," says Babinger. It is the only one that allows virtual meetings that run as a live stream on the Internet. According to the initiator, however, a final decision as to whether this is permitted in this form is still pending.
But what he has already done is a kind of choice in the circulation process. "I asked all 37 who of these 17 they could imagine in which board position." He set a deadline for this until April 19. Babinger will then use this feedback to develop the concrete election proposal. In this way, he can prepare the foundation of the cooperative, even if direct discussions or even meetings are currently a problem.
Actually, the cooperative should have been launched at the end of March (we reported). Babinger explains that, not least because of the corona pandemic, this appointment could not be held. But he shows good cheer that it can work now.
As reported, the Berglerner energy cooperative is to be founded for the second and possibly also third construction phase of the large solar power plant on the route from Berglern to Freising. Two information gatherings that Babinger had organized together with the Berglern community had met with a broad response. Both the community itself and the Water Purpose Association had already made it clear that they would be involved in this.
