Tehran-Sana

Iranian Minister of Health and Medical Education Saeed Nimki announced that the Ministry will implement, today, the second phase of the plan to combat the Corona Virus in Iran, by conducting large-scale examinations and tests to detect the disease.

"We will start the second phase of the Corona control plan, where we will go to asymptomatic people who are the source of infection, and for this we need to conduct extensive checks and tests," Iranian news agency IRNA quoted Nemki as saying at the open session of the Islamic Shura Council.

Nmky explained that the rapid diagnosis and separation of suspected cases led to treatment of many cases without referring to hospitals that have begun to see a decrease in cases that are referred to them, pointing out that approximately 30 to 50 percent of hospital beds are empty of patients at the present time.

Nmky pointed out that the coming days will witness a difference in the ratio of the number of deaths to the number of injured, indicating that Iran has become the seventh in the world in terms of the number of deaths due to the Corona virus, and this is due to the measures taken by health and treatment cadres in the country.

The spokesman of the Iranian Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Kyanosh Jahanpur, announced yesterday that the number of Corona virus infections in Iran reached 60,500 people and 3,739 deaths, pointing out that the number of people recovering from the virus reached 24,236 people.
