Wear protective equipment when working without a travel record

A spokesman for the North District Hospital announced tonight that a 57-year-old operation assistant in the clinic had a cough and sore throat since April 3 but no fever. She had no travel history in the past 14 days and had no contact with confirmed cases. The employee underwent a virus test on a deep-throat saliva sample at the clinic on April 7 and confirmed a positive reaction to the new coronavirus at night.

The spokesperson continued that the employee was mainly responsible for cleaning the clinic and had been wearing personal protective equipment during the work. So far, the clinic has no records of confirmed patients. The clinic is tracking the close contacts of the diagnosed staff with the CHP, arranging testing and follow-up on the required quarantine arrangements, and will closely monitor the health of the clinic staff.
