Escaped with horror is an Oberdinger, whose van was completely burned out on Tuesday morning at Flughafenentangente Ost (FTO).
Eitting - The 38-year-old had been coming from Oberding towards the A 92 when his engine started to smoke and flames later emerged from it. When asked by our newspaper, the Erdinger police report that the cause of the fire in the engine compartment was probably a technical defect.
The Oberdinger, to whom nothing happened himself, brought his car to a standstill next to the FTO between the Wurzer environmental company and the motorway entrance and alerted the police, who, like the Eitting fire department, hurried to the scene of the accident with a patrol.
By the time the Florians had extinguished the van, it had burned out. A total loss. The FTO had to be blocked for a short time.
