Restaurants and restaurants in the district are suffering enormously from the current crisis. With delivery service, pick-up offers and drive-in stations, they try to stay afloat.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - The restaurant doors are still closed: Due to the Corona crisis, restaurateurs have not been able to serve anyone for at least two weeks - at least not in their own premises. However, many hosts have become creative. They realize ideas to still sell roast pork, pizza and Co. despite the closure and thus have at least some income. The solidarity of the guests is now their glimmer of hope.

“Papas Kesselhaus” in Bad Tölz, for example, offers delivery to your door, as well as dishes “to go”. Operator Ingo Kohls has been quite satisfied so far: "The offer is well received." Nevertheless, a lot is different than normal. "We have rush hours at lunchtime and in the evening than usual. Our delivery service is busy." However, sales are not to be compared with normal business. But Kohls fights bravely: "Whining doesn't make it any better. You have to be happy with what remains and make the best of it. ”

According to Kohls, now is the time for everyone to roll up their sleeves. Despite the current losses, he is confident about the future: “There will also be a time after Corona. Germany's strength has always been the build-up. ”Kohls assumes that“ things will go much better for the restaurateurs who have survived after the crisis ”.

On this map you can see which catering establishments in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district offer a pick-up and delivery service:

Are you a restaurateur and offer a special service? Then register here.

Guido Stocker, "Altwirt" in Reichersbeuern offers dishes to order and pick up. The offer was "received much better than expected," he says. "We are very touched by the solidarity in the village," he says. Larger events, however, were an important pillar of the "old host". "They are all now falling away, as are orders from our catering service," he explains. This made up two thirds of its sales.

"Germany's strength has always been building"

It is not much different with the "Altwirt" in Lenggries. The owners, Ursula and Robert Werner, now have the “acclimatization phase” of the changes behind them. "The workflow is very different, but everyone is now well rehearsed," explains Ursula Werner. The fact that the "entire hotel operation is idle" causes severe losses. "Nevertheless, we are happy that our employees are motivated and that we have many regular guests who remain loyal to us." The dishes on the slightly reduced menu can be picked up or delivered for a "symbolic euro". "The delivery service is completely new territory for us," says Werner. "In these times, you just have to reach for every straw and hope that things will return to normal soon."

Restaurateurs praise solidarity among regular customers

Robert Habel and his son Dominik Baumann offer fresh Thai cuisine in the "Rim Tung" in Tölz. "More bad than right," the business is currently running, says Baumann. "Despite loyal regular customers, we have up to 70 percent loss." The "Rim Tung" team also offers a delivery service, but this is not particularly lucrative. "We only have an average of four trips a day," says Baumann. In addition, he felt let down by the authorities. "Everything is complicated and opaque." So far, he has not been able to apply for short-time work for his employees. "We row really enormously, and I don't know how long we can keep it up," says the restaurateur.

Drive-in station at the "Arzbacher Hof" for the holidays

Irena and Raffaele Angelillo run the “Milano” with a hotel in Bad Tölz. “We deliver home or our customers can pick up the food from us. But we had to make the map much smaller, ”says Irena Angelillo. The losses due to the loss of drinks and hotel guests are fatal. Nevertheless, Angelillo is hopeful that the “Milano” will survive the crisis. “It's hard times, we can't even cover our costs. But it will go on somehow. "

The "Arzbacher Hof" is closed for the time being. Only occasionally, like on Palm Sunday, Easter Sunday or Easter Monday, the landlords Thomas and Michaela Linke offer a special pick-up service: a “Drive In” station. Logistically, that demanded a lot from them, but the effort was worth it: "There was a huge rush on Palm Sunday," says Michaele Linke. The system: order by phone and pick up by car at an agreed time without having to get out. The Linkes have “made everything as professional as possible”, they say. The orders are brought directly to the car door by an operator with protective equipment. In addition, the service ladies demonstrated style security: mouthguard and dirndl apron in the same pattern.
