The places of worship are currently closed due to the risk of infection. The clergy in Dietramszell reacted to this.
Dietramszell - TV broadcasts or live streams from large parishes can be an alternative to the currently not permitted worship service. Many, however, lack the personal connection to the people who accompany them through the year in pastoral care and to the churches of the congregation. The daily video messages from Dean Thomas Neuberger and his pastoral team from the parish association Dietramszell are closer to everyday life.
Via a WhatsApp group, they send a link to “Thoughts for the day” every day at 12 noon. The YouTube clips with which the four pastors want to give strength and courage to the parishioners in Corona times last two to four minutes. They are alternately spoken by Pastor Neuberger, Father Bimo, Deacon Hermann Vollmer and Parish Officer Ruth Schaefer. The filming location is sometimes the living room at home, sometimes one of the parish churches or the rectory.
In addition to a message for each day, there is a prayer and blessing for the audience. "This is very well received," says Neuberger. Around 450 people receive the link to the video via a text message every day. "Many then pass it on to friends or acquaintances." That's why he often receives words of thanks from other communities and counties, "even from the Rhineland".
Under the search term "Mariae Himmelfahrt Dietramszell" you can find the daily impulses directly on YouTube.
Admission to the WhatsApp group is arranged by the parish office on 0 80 27/9 03 80.
