Lower Saxony / Wolf - The state of Lower Saxony has released 2 more wolves for shooting. As announced by the Ministry of Environment in Hanover on Monday (April 6th, 2020). The country had already released a wolf for shooting three weeks ago.
The reason for the releases are cracks , which could be directly assigned to the individual wolves. The released wolves are animals from the packs of Ebstorf and Eschede.

The Ministry of Environment of the State of Lower Saxony stated that increased livestock cracks in the Uelzen region led to the new releases. The Environment Minister Olaf Lies (SPD) described extensive grazing as part of the cultural landscape in Lower Saxony.
