The complaint in Guayaquil: "Aid came late" 4:40
(CNN Spanish) - Jorge Wated, leader of the Joint Task Force and president of Banecuador, filed a complaint with the Ecuadorian Prosecutor for the alleged irregularities in the morgues of the Guayaquil hospitals.
This complaint is made a day after the Health Minister, Juan Carlos Zevallos, reported that an official of the entity had been dismissed because he would have requested money, in the midst of the health emergency by covid-19, from the relatives of the deceased in Guayaquil to deliver the bodies of their loved ones. The minister did not indicate the position or the name of the removed official.

Wated acted on behalf of the President of Ecuador, Lenín Moreno, who on his Twitter account indicated that the complaint seeks "to investigate the mismanagement of deceased people in hospital morgues."
"We will not allow anyone to be buried without their identification," added the president.
I ordered @JorgeWated to file a complaint at @FiscaliaEcuador to investigate the mismanagement of the deceased in hospital morgues. We will not allow anyone to be buried without their identification. They are brothers who deserve a goodbye with dignity! # EcuadorUnido🇪🇨 pic.twitter.com/YJqYEtagkQ
