The number of deaths in the United States continues to rise, with more than 2,000 deaths in the last day. The total death toll in the country stands at 18,747 people, which is expected to be the closest day to go through Italy, with the highest death toll at 18,849.

In all, US President Donald Trump has instructed US government officials to help Italy fight the Cornea virus through medical supplies, humanitarian measures and other assistance such as setting up field hospitals in the country. New York state governor Andrew Cuomo yesterday expressed cautious optimism, due to a decline in the number of new inpatients in the state. In a daily media briefing, Cuomo said: "For the first time, the number of new intensive care patients is lower than the previous day. UK: A record 980 dead a day

In the United Kingdom, optimism did not register as the number of plague victims reached a new record of 980 dead in one day. The number of patients diagnosed in the UK is 73,758, with about 8,000 new cases diagnosed every day.
