Munich - A nine-year-old girl was seriously injured in a bicycle fall in Munich . The girl was cycling with her father and two siblings near the Isar, the police said on Monday. At the Gerblstrasse / Zentralalländstrasse intersection, the family wanted to turn left from the Gerbststrasse downhill in this section (17 percent gradient) onto the Zentralalländerstrasse.
When turning, the girl (9) lost control of her bike for reasons unknown until now. The child sustained serious injuries in the "self-inflicted" fall. The girl is said to have worn a helmet.
