The curious guy named Sid takes on the role of the curious museum visitor and gets objects or topics explained by employees, the city of Halberstadt said on its website.
The idea for the "Sid discovery tour" came from two volunteers, it said. "First, the small video clips can be seen on the Städtisches Museum's YouTube, Instagram or Facebook and will then be available to visitors via their own smartphones via QR code in the exhibition," said museum director Antje Gornig, according to the announcement.
According to the information, it is planned to provide two to four videos per month. "Currently, despite the fact that our house is closed, it is a great opportunity to point out the function of the city's museums in the cultural life of the city and to allow the general public to share in the history of the city," said Gornig.
