Public transportation in and out of the city will be banned, with the possibility of exiting the borders of Bnei Brak in a private vehicle • The Bnei Brak industrial zone, where there is no abnormal morbidity, will be excluded from the closure • These are the changes that will be made today to approve the Ministerial Committee on Closure Affairs

The ministerial committee deciding the closure policy throughout Israel during the Corona is expected to renew the closure conditions on Bnei Brak on Thursday.

According to the draft decision, which will be submitted for approval by the committee, a partial closure will continue until April 20, during which the public transport activity in the city will be banned, but it will be possible to leave the city by private vehicle.

Also, the closure will not apply to the northern industrial zone of Bnei Brak, as it does not have exceptional morbidity. The draft explains that the city of Bnei Brak claims that releasing private transport will help fight the plague.

In addition, the closure will be extended in the Jerusalem neighborhoods where outbreaks of the plague were recorded.

The committee, chaired by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is scheduled to convene today at 1:00 PM.

While there is a decline in infection rates in Bnei Brak, there are still 1,100 patients for every 100,000 residents. This compares with 139 patients in the rest of the country for every 100,000 patients - eight times as many. Jerusalem has 271 patients per 100,000 residents - about 2 times the number of other cities in Israel.
