The Yau Tsim Mong District Council held a general meeting last Thursday (16th) to discuss the proposal of "Reorganizing the Police Force and Stopping Indiscriminate Violence". Yau Tsim Mong District Affairs Commissioner Yu Jianqiang led the district council secretariat and other government department representatives to leave the scene. Lin Jianwen, chairman of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, and several district councillors, went to the Headquarters of the Office of the Ombudsman today (21st) to complain about Yu Jianqiang's alleged misconduct.

Lin Jianwen, Chairman of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council, stated that section 61A of the District Council Ordinance clearly stated that the district council could discuss the motion on the well-being of residents. Hong Kong people, he criticized Yu Jianqiang for distorting the relevant regulations. He also pointed out that the secretary of the district councillors was appointed by the district council and should be ordered by the district council. Yu Jianqiang had no right to take away the secretary of the district council.

Yu Debao, deputy chairman of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council and the Citizen Party, believed that the incident was a political operation. Yu also pointed out that he would submit documents and motions to condemn the relevant Civil Affairs Department personnel and the police.
