Fugitive Offenders | Seventy cleaners were killed by bricks and two young men were charged with murder

On November 13 last year, citizens launched the "Operation Dawn". At noon that day, demonstrators outside the General Assembly Hall of the North District of Sheung Shui suspected that they had clashed with others because of the brick barriers. During the 70s, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department contracted a cleaner to be hit by a brick in the head and died the next day. The 16-year-old and 17-year-olds involved in the case were charged this afternoon (22nd) with three crimes of murder, intentional injury and riot, and were escorted to the Tuen Mun Magistrates' Court to appear in court. The two do not need to reply for the time being. Magistrate Shui Jiali adjourned the case until June 1 and went through the referral to the High Court at the Eastern Magistrates' Court. The defendant was still awaiting hearing. Some people once stopped when leaving the car. And shouting slogans, the prison car was still able to drive away.

Also charged with wounding and riot

The first defendant was a 17-year-old teenager with the surname of Liu who reported to be unemployed, and the second defendant was a 16-year-old surnamed Chen with the report of a student. The two were dressed in black clothes and responded calmly. They were accused of murder, intentional wounding and riots with a total of 3 crimes, referring to the murder of Luo Changqing together with others outside the North District Town Hall of Sheung Shui on November 13 last year; the intention was to seriously harm the body of man X illegally and maliciously Hurt him; and participate in riots.

The prosecution stated that in order to avoid unnecessary riots, the letter "X" was used to refer to the injured man. The two defendants did not apply for bail today, and the barrister representing the first defendant said that he would apply to the High Court in the future.

The two defendants are classmates

It is understood that the deceased was 70 years old and the injured man was 61 years old at the age of X. He was not a policeman. During the incident, X had a torn and bleeding iris in his left eye, and bruised his right knee, right arm, and legs. He recognized the first defendant during the identification process. CCTV filmed two defendants who appeared at a nearby MTR station. The two defendants were classmates and were released on bail by the police station earlier. The police made an appointment this morning to arrest and charge the case.

When the prison car was leaving the court, a woman was once stopped in front of the car. Other supporters raised the gesture representing "the five major demands, all indispensable," and shouted "No thugs, only tyranny!"
