On the reality of animal wealth in the governorate, the head of the Animal Production Department in the Agricultural Directorate, Engineer Loay Kamel, told SANA that the number of licensed livestock in the governorate reached 37 farms containing 2205 dairy cows and 323 fattening calves, while there is one licensed sheep farm composed of 202 heads, while the number of farms Licensed poultry reached 139 farms with a capacity of 49,400 amate, 119,297 laying hens and 1384,357 broiler chickens.

Kamel pointed out the importance of the issuance of resolutions 19 and 20 last March, which included reducing the distance of the protection limits to 300 meters instead of 500 meters and a distance of 200 meters for cows farms, according to the limits of the organizational chart instead of 200 on the limits of protection, which positively reflects the increase in licensed farms and animal production and contributes to educators Agricultural loans for the purchase of fodder and work necessities in addition to the Minister of Agriculture's decision to grant a final license to establishments instead of the temporary license.

Kamel explained that in the field of the work of the Forage Control Division, the elements of the forage control carry out tours of the feed factories and feed outlets and take samples from them and send them to the analysis in the specialized laboratories to know the extent of their conformity to the Syrian standard specifications and to ensure feed production with high specifications as the number of samples taken since the beginning of the year reached 17 A sample of which 5 samples are ready for dairy cows, one sample fattening calves, 3 samples for broiler chicks, 8 samples for a private sector, while imported forage samples that were analyzed reached 50 samples.

Kamel pointed out that the requirements of artificial insemination are provided by the Animal Production Directorate in the Ministry of Agriculture in quantities sufficient for the need of the province and distributed to doctors and veterinarians working in the field of artificial insemination in the indicative units monthly.
