The National Seismological Center said in a statement that SANA received a copy of it that the tremor occurred at 1643 local time today.
A slight earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale and a depth of 12 km struck on the twentieth of this month off the Syrian coast northwest of the city of Latakia, a distance of 44 km.
