The Central Bank of Syria issued a circular allowing all exchange institutions to resume work during the Sabbath days of each week and adjust their working hours to become from nine in the morning until four in the afternoon, as of tomorrow morning and until further notice by the bank.
The bank said in a circular that SANA obtained a copy of it today that it is in line with the directives issued recently by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers regarding the amendment of curfew times imposed on Friday and Saturday during the holy month of Ramadan. The provisions of Circular No. 2038/16 / P dated 14-4-2020 have been terminated. Consequently, all exchange institutions are obligated to resume work during the Sabbath days of each week and to amend the working hours of all exchange institutions to become from nine in the morning until four in the afternoon, as of the morning of Saturday, corresponding to 4/25-2020 until further notice by the Central Bank of Syria.
The circular stressed the necessity to continue adhering to what was stated in the provisions of Circular No. 1632/16 / pp dated 15/3-2020 in terms of the procedures required to ensure the health and safety of workers and dealers with exchange institutions in accordance with the emergency plan approved by each institution duly.
