Pedestrian overpass in North Point caught in flames

At 7 o'clock in the morning on Saturday (25th), the pedestrian bridge across King's Road and Sugar Water Road in North Point suddenly caught fire. The fire was very violent, and most of the bridges were caught in the fire. The fire rushed to fight with 2 breathing apparatus teams and 2 hoses, and put out the fire after about 20 minutes. Fortunately, there were no casualties in the fire. After the fire, the overpass was severely burned. It was reported that a group of debris belonging to street sleepers was put on the overpass. Affected by the fire, traffic on the scene was also severely blocked. The Transport Department announced at 7:26 in the morning that due to the fire, the direction of King's Road to and from Sugar Waterway was now closed.
