Coronel Oviedo / Munich - It is an incredible story that happened in Paraguay. The scenes resemble those of a horror film, relatives have gone through hell. A man is told by a clinic doctor that his wife has died . But after employees brought the alleged body to a burial site, they made an incredible discovery . The woman in the body bag was still alive!
The incredible story begins on a Saturday in Coronel Oviedo, around 150 kilometers east of Paraguay's capital Asuncion. Gladys Rodriguez de Duarte has ovarian cancer. But that day she has another medical problem. The 46-year-old complains of high blood pressure. Her husband, Maximino Duarte Ferreira, had her taken to a clinic to be on the safe side, reports the local newspaper ABC Color .

The 50-year-old receives a call almost two hours later. The treating doctor Heriberto Vera informs Duarte Ferreira that his wife has died. According to the files of the investigating police, ovarian cancer is cited as the cause of death. After the death was found, Vera had the woman transported by an undertaker.
They bring them - wrapped in a body bag - to the funeral home Duarte e Hijos. Suddenly the employees notice how the body bag moves. They look and find signs of life in the woman. Alleged death of woman: Clinic is not aware of any guilt
Duarte Ferreira appealed to Vera after this horror. He claimed, according to The Sun , that the doctors specifically targeted the death because they no longer wanted to treat the woman.
The hospital, however, dismissed the blame. Vera didn't have a pulse, clinic director Catalino Fabio told local media. "He tried to resuscitate her, but to no avail." As a possible explanation, Fabio cited that the patient may have suffered from catalepsy - a state of persistence in a rigid posture.
Investigations are underway against Vera.
