"As the first sign of hope for our licensees, as well as for all of the practitioners, it is determining that the individual practice of cycling can be reintroduced as of May 11," explodes this Saturday, the French Cycling Federation (FFC) ) in a press release. The FFC also hopes to resume competitions "in compliance with health measures defined by the State, as soon as possible". The body chaired by Michel Callot considers that a non-return of cycling activity on the scheduled date of deconfinement "would constitute real discrimination vis-à-vis (his) sport" and recalls the benefits of cycling for the whole society. The Federation is also preparing an action plan for amateur cycling in order to set up “the conditions for the survival of cycling sport in France” and wishes the return of competitions in order to “start to rebuild the disaster-stricken ecosystem of the FFC and simply take our share of the momentum that our country will have to regain ”.
