The two men, from "the same siblings ", were in the same cell but were to be separated " following an incident that occurred " on Thursday, according to the press release.

According to the SNP-FO, the four guards who came to separate them then suffered " a riot of violence " from the two detainees, who broke " two ribs " to an officer and broke a tooth to one of his colleagues. The two other supervisors were hit in one hand for one and " cervical " for the other, according to the union.

"We must put an end to this trivialization of aggressiveness which unfortunately grows over the months and years" , insists SNP-FO in its press release, demanding the placement of two detainees in "disciplinary quarter" as well as a " exemplary criminal sentence ”.

Like the other penitentiary establishments, the Besançon prison, which has around 280 places, has been subject since mid-March to various restrictions due to the coronavirus epidemic, such as the shutdown of visiting rooms and collective activities.
