As for the father, the 6-year-old daughter and the 4-year-old boy, the injuries were serious and they were all admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital. It is reported that both father and son have to insert their throats, while their daughters are in a more stable situation.
Police stated that the fire scene was a unit at 8 Ying Fuk Street, Yuen Long. At 7:36 pm on the 25th, the police received reports from multiple people that a fire had occurred at the site. The fire was put out to extinguish the fire. The preliminary investigation believed that the cause of the fire was undoubted. It was suspected that there was a short circuit in the electrical wires of the appliance that caused the unit to catch fire.
