Two people were killed today due to the outbreak of a major fire in a suburb of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
The Sumariah news site quoted a security source as saying in a statement today that "two people were killed due to the outbreak of a major fire in a commercial market in the New Baghdad area east of the capital," noting that the fire also caused significant material damage to the commercial market.
