Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte announced the extension of school closures throughout the country until next September, not to expose children's health to infection with Corona virus.
Conte said in an interview published today by the newspaper "La Repubblica": "All scenarios prepared by a committee of experts were expecting a high risk of transmission if the schools were reopened before September."
Conte added that the government is working to develop a plan to lift the isolation measures and resume a large part of industrial activities starting from the fourth of next May, noting that this plan will be announced "next week at the latest," but institutions must "implement safety protocols strictly, such as social divergence or masks." .
